I started baking with box cake mixes as a little girl when I entered a Girl Scout baking competition with my dad, and although I believe box cake mixes have their place, nowadays I’m all about using fresh ingredients and always making every dessert from scratch, whether it be traditional, vegan, or gluten-free.
After fighting with canned frosting for ages, I finally took my first Wilton cake class in 1996 where I learned how to make American buttercream and some cake baking and decorating tips, and from there went on to teach Wilton classes for the next 7 years. During that time I found that I loved making anything that would challenge me, and I realized that my absolute favorite kinds of cakes to make are wedding cakes, which is still my cake passion to this day! I view every cake as a chance to learn something new, and I always consider it an honor to be part of people’s celebrations, whether they be birthdays, graduations, showers, or weddings.
If you are in need of a special dessert for your next celebration, I will do my best to bring you something beautiful and delicious that you and your friends will not soon forget!
